These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Valor & Vine website and the purchase of our products. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must refrain from using our website or services.

1. Business Information

Valor & Vine operates in Ontario, Canada. All transactions are deemed to occur within the Province of Ontario and are governed by applicable provincial and federal laws, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) where applicable.

2. Eligibility & Website Use

By using this website, you confirm that you are:

  • The age of majority in your jurisdiction, or

  • Using the site with guardian consent

You agree not to misuse our website, commit fraud, infringe intellectual property, or violate any laws.

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion.

3. Handmade & Made-to-Order Products

Valor & Vine specializes in handcrafted, made-to-order goods.

As a result:

  • Each item is produced after purchase

  • Minor variations in finish or assembly may occur

  • Measurements may vary within reasonable tolerances

Product photos are representative and may not be identical to the finished piece.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.

We reserve the right to:

  • Adjust pricing without notice

  • Correct pricing errors

  • Cancel orders affected by inaccuracies

Full payment is required before production begins.

5. Processing Times

Production timelines reflect the time required to handcraft your order and do not include shipping transit.

Processing estimates may extend during peak demand, holidays, or promotional periods.

We are not liable for delays outside our control.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping rates and timelines are calculated at checkout.

Once an order is transferred to the carrier:

  • Delivery timelines are the carrier’s responsibility

  • Tracking is provided where available

  • Valor & Vine is not liable for lost, stolen, or delayed shipments

Customers are responsible for entering accurate shipping details.

7. Returns & Exchanges

Due to the custom nature of our products:

  • All custom and made-to-order items are final sale

  • Returns are not accepted for sizing errors on custom goods

Eligible non-custom items must:

  • Be unused

  • Show no wear, damage, or contamination

  • Be approved prior to return

8. Warranty & Defects

If a product arrives with a manufacturing defect, customers must notify us within a reasonable timeframe.

Approved claims may result in repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Tarnishing or finish wear

  • Damage from misuse or improper sizing
     

9. Product Use & Assumption of Risk

Our products are intended for animal handling and equestrian use.

By purchasing, you acknowledge that:

  • Animals are inherently unpredictable

  • No product is indestructible

  • Proper fit and supervision are required

Valor & Vine is not liable for injury, loss, or damages resulting from product misuse, animal behaviour, or excessive force.

10. Hardware & Material Disclaimer

We use high-quality materials, including Biothane® and metal hardware.

Customers acknowledge natural material characteristics such as:

  • Plated finish wear

  • Brass oxidation and patina

  • Cosmetic marking transfer

These are not considered defects.

11. Intellectual Property

All branding, product designs, images, logos, and written content are the intellectual property of Valor & Vine and may not be reproduced without written consent.

12. Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled only before production begins.

Once production has started, cancellations may be refused due to material and labour allocation.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Ontario law, Valor & Vine shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Animal-related injury or incidents

  • Improper product use

  • Loss exceeding the purchase price

Nothing in these Terms limits rights granted under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 where legally required.

14. Privacy

Customer information is collected solely for order processing, shipping, and communication.

We do not sell or distribute personal data except where required for payment processing, shipping carriers, or legal compliance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

Any disputes shall be resolved within Ontario courts.

16. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to our website.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
